Description
Palo Santo, meaning “Holy Wood” in Spanish, is a mystical tree native to South America, particularly found in countries like Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia. It belongs to the Burseraceae family, the same family as frankincense and myrrh.
The wood of the Palo Santo tree is traditionally used for spiritual purification, energy cleansing, and healing rituals. It has a sweet, woody, citrusy aroma with hints of mint and pine when burned. The wood must be naturally fallen and aged for several years before it develops its signature scent and energetic properties.
Often used as incense sticks or small logs, Palo Santo is burned to release its aromatic smoke, which is believed to clear negative energy, elevate mood, and invite positive vibrations. It is also used in aromatherapy, meditation, and shamanic ceremonies.
